Academic Policy Committee
Anchorage STrEaM Academy is governed by the Academic Policy Committee.
Elections are held annually to fill positions on the APC.
The APC hires, counsels and evaluates the principal and helps to maintain the vision and goals of the founders.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, unless prohibited by the cultural calendar, at 5:30 PM. In-Person Meetings at 1905 Twining Drive in the Conference Room across from the front office near the main entrance. In the event that an in-person meeting can not take place, the meeting will either be canceled or an acceptable viewing option will be available, such as a zoom link and YouTube streaming link. Adequate notice will always be given if such a situation occurs.

Meetings and Work Sessions
Monthly meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of every month, with a few exceptions due to the ASD general calendar.
Time is reserved at every meeting for public testimony. Please call the school to reserve a 3 minute time at the beginning of a meeting.
Work Sessions are scheduled periodically, and will follow board meetings, unless otherwise noted.
ASA APC meetings use Roberts Rules of Orders and complies with the State of Alaska Open Meetings Act.
